In the Allegro Barbaro, which was composed in 1911, Bartók combines modern harmonicswith Hungarian folk melodies.

This revised edition was prepared by comparing the last printed edition with the available manuscript sources and, in the event of discrepancies, determining through analysis what thecomposer’s intention most probably may have been.
