Meet our Expert

Anastasis Chetas after receiving in 2010, his Degree in Sound and Musical Instrument Technology with specialization in Woodwinds and Brass Instruments Repair from Ionion University, he worked in numerous workshops in Greece and Cyprus. Back to Cyprus created his own workshop in Nicosia and worked as technician for local musical instrument retailers. Enthusiastic and passionate for his specialization, he attended repairing courses in the most prestige French manufactures of Wind Instruments (2016 – Henri Selmer and 2023 – Buffet Crampon in Paris) becoming their authorized specialized technician.

Since 2018, Mr. Chetas is our company’s Woodwind & Brass Instruments’ in house Technician. His pleasant personality and great technical knowledge is a valuable asset to our company as well to the Cypriot music family. He is always delighted to undertake any repair work and help you to choose the most appropriate instrument or accessories for your musical needs.

Repair Services

Check-Down

A “Checkdown” is suitable for newer instruments of those that have had ongoing servicing work within the last 2 years. In a Checkdown the following work is completed. Contact us for pricing

  • Replace of  missing corks/felts
  • Lubricate noisy keywork
  • Adjust regulation to playing order
  • Clean the outer body
  • Test

Service

A ‘Service’  is designed for instruments that are taking regular use and may not have been recently stripped and serviced. In a Service the following work is completed. Contact us for pricing.

  • Dismantle
  • Clean body
  • Polish keywork
  • Remove old oil from mechanism and screws
  • Replace key corks as necessary
  • Re-assemble
  • Re-lubricate
  • Re-seat pads as necessary (If pads need changing this will be at extra cost)
  • Regulate to playing order
  • Check tenon corks (If tenon corks need replacing this will be at extra cost)
  • Adjust vent heights as required
  • Adjust spring tensions as required
  • Test

General Service

A ‘General Service’ refers to as an overhaul of the instrument, bringing it back to as close to new as possible. In a General Service the following work is completed.
